Energy Show 2014 to showcase innovations in efficiency and renewables

The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland Energy Show 2014 takes place at the RDS in Dublin on 12 and 13 March.

Now in its fourteenth year, the show will feature a trade exhibition including leading suppliers of sustainable energy products and services for businesses, along with a series of interesting seminars.

This year, the seminars will address managing energy in buildings, the systems and analytic tools that assist this and innovative energy solutions through heat recovery. The seminars include a session on how to maximise efficiency in complex facilities which will look at both internal and outsourced solutions for financing building upgrade investments. A master-class in higher performing modern buildings using smarter engineering systems and BIM, facilitated by CIBSE and DIT, will look at issues such as including the integration of renewables and modern lighting design.

This year’s show will see an extended best practice skills area to include heating, ventilation and heat recovery technologies, as well as building fabric solutions. A smart tech demo area will showcase some of the innovative products of the future which are not yet commercially available. Visitors will also have access to international markets with scheduled networking sessions with France, Britain, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Poland, Canada, China, Israel and Argentina.

Many of Ireland’s leading sustainable building brands are exhibiting at the show, including Passive House Plus regulars such as Aereco, Baumit, Ecological Building Systems, Glen Dimplex, PV Tech and the Saint Gobain companies Gyproc, Isover and Weber.

The free exhibition will run on Wednesday 12 and Thursday 13 March from 10am to 6pm. Seminar places must be pre-booked in advance with a limited number of spaces available. For further details on the show visit www.seai.ie/energyshow
