Free NZEB webinar series now available online
All of the recordings from the recent Energy Efficient Building Seminar series are now available to watch on Partel’s YouTube channel.
The webinar series was organised by Partel and partner companies KORE Insulation, Daikin Ireland, NorDan Ireland & Harmony Timber Solutions to respond to the need for online upskilling for sustainable building, given the Covid-19 pandemic and the recent introduction of nearly zero energy building (NZEB) standards.
The online series of webinars finished on March 16 and included six CPD webinars: airtightness, wind-tightness & thermal bridging with Partel’s Hugh Whiriskey; EPS insulation with Andrew Butler of KORE Insulation; heat pumps with Ian Killoch of Daikin Ireland; windows with John McMenamy of NorDan Ireland; timber frame structures with Harmony Timber Solutions; and ventilation solutions, again with Hugh Whiriskey of Partel, followed by a plenary speech by Passive House Plus editor Jeff Colley on the final day. Passive House Plus acted as media partner for the series.
‘’We are committed to continuous professional development and the aim is that this seminar will help accelerate the delivery of NZEB standards in both new-build and retrofit projects,’’ said Hugh Whiriskey, technical director at Partel.
The seminar series was originally planned for 2020 as an in-person event but was moved online early this year to facilitate learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. More than 800 people registered interest in the series, which brought together people from leadership positions within the construction sector, including architects, designers, engineers and contractors.
‘’We are thrilled to see such a great interest in NZEB e-learning, which remained constant throughout the four weeks,” said Iulia Potor, marketing manaer at Partel. “A huge thank you to all partners, speakers, as well as to our media partner and last but not least to all of you who participated in our EEBS webinar series. We look forward to the second EEBS series planned for next year.”
Partel said there was a very high level of engagement and positive feedback from participants. All of the CPD webinars are available to watch on Partel’s YouTube channel. More information about the series can be found at www.partel.ie.
