Key industry events at Energy Show 2024
Businesses involved in the supply chain for low energy building or retrofit in Ireland take note: there are a number of must see events at the Energy Show in Dublin.
The seminar programme for Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)’s annual show, which takes place in the RDS on 20-21 March, includes sessions on subjects as diverse as energy efficiency in traditional buildings and pathways to net zero, along with networking-focused sessions on career opportunities in retrofit.
The programme also includes events on ventilation and indoor air quality; pathways to becoming approved as a one stop shop for grant-funded deep retrofit; developing supply chains for public sector retrofit; navigating EU funding opportunities for SMEs, and the role of digital innovations to enable scalable domestic retrofit.
Women in energy
Meanwhile at 5pm on 20 March the show will include a networking event, Women in Energy, with the theme, ‘Creative Communication in driving Climate Action – Perspective from female leaders. Speakers will include ESB CEO Marguerite Sayers, CODEMA CEO Donna Gartland, Department of Environment head of retail energy policy and regulation Justina Corcoran; and Creative Ireland Programme director Tania Banotti.
The show will also include a range of other events via the Energy Theatre Talks, with subject ranging from low cost finance for home energy upgrades to Ireland’s latest energy statistics, to a showcase from the Product of the Show awards, to a presentation on accelerating the uptake of heat pumps in Irish homes, taking account of behavioural and technical considerations.
